About the Organization

Connecting people, cultures, and communities through education, exchange, and collaboration.

Bridge Across Borders is a Tampa-based educational nonprofit that creates meaningful international learning experiences connecting students, educators, professionals, and communities across cultures.

Through educational exchanges, professional learning, and intercultural experiences, we help participants develop skills, build confidence, broaden their perspectives, and build lasting international relationships.

Our work began with a successful culinary education exchange connecting students from the Tampa Bay area with professionals in Le Havre, France. Building on that experience, we are developing new international education programs and partnerships, with another student exchange planned for 2027.

We welcome connections with educational institutions, businesses, community organizations, and partners who believe in the power of international collaboration.

Bridge Across Borders is seeking educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, business and community partners, and potential sponsors interested in international education and cross-cultural exchange. We are currently developing a 2027 international culinary exchange program connecting students from the Tampa Bay area with professionals and educational partners in Le Havre, Normandy, France, including a planned student immersion experience. We are particularly interested in building relationships across Tampa Bay, Normandy, and the wider international community to develop educational exchanges, professional learning opportunities, and lasting international partnerships.

Founder and President of Bridge Across Borders, Peggy Labat is based in Le Havre, Normandy, France, Tampa’s sister city. With over 20 years of experience in education and international projects, she is passionate about connecting people, cultures, and communities through meaningful international partnerships and exchanges.
