Before & After the Storm: Building Resilient Coastal Communities

Explore all conference sessions, including keynote talks, panels, and discussions across all tracks and topics.”

For coastal communities, resilience begins long before a storm makes landfall and continues long after the skies clear. This panel will explore how cities prepare for major weather events, protect critical infrastructure and vulnerable populations, coordinate emergency response, and rebuild stronger after disaster. Drawing on lessons from Tampa Bay and other coastal communities, the discussion will examine how planning, policy, infrastructure, and cross-sector partnerships can help communities become more resilient in the face of future storms.
