Michael Turner Evanoff is a nationally recognized security and diplomatic affairs expert who served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security. His career spans more than three decades across government, international security, and the private sector.

Evanoff began his career as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security, serving from 1985 to 2011 in senior assignments involving U.S. diplomatic missions overseas, NATO, the Overseas Security Advisory Council, and the protection of senior U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

He later held senior corporate security roles as Chief Security Officer for Coca-Cola, Global Director of Security at Och-Ziff Capital Management, and Vice President for Asset Protection & Security at Walmart.

As Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security, Evanoff led efforts to protect U.S. diplomatic personnel, facilities, and missions around the world while addressing evolving global security threats. His experience provides a unique perspective on the intersection of diplomacy, international engagement, risk management, and security.
