Rakefet Bachur-Phillips is Co-Executive Director of FIBA, where she helps Israeli startups enter the U.S. market, establish operations, and build connections within Tampa Bay’s innovation ecosystem. Born and raised outside Tel Aviv, she began her career working with Israeli technology and medical device companies before relocating to Tampa to support the U.S. expansion of an Israeli startup.

Her career has spanned international business development, marketing, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. Before joining FIBA’s founding team, Bachur-Phillips served as Marketing Manager at BayCare Health System, leading major campaigns and supporting the launch of new healthcare facilities.

Since joining FIBA, she has played a central role in recruiting Israeli companies to Tampa and helping them navigate U.S. market entry, partnerships, and growth opportunities. In 2023, she was recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as a Business Woman of the Year.
