Ivo Bemelmans serves as Honorary Consul of Belgium for West Florida, based in Tampa. He brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership, management, and organizational change, including a professional background with Citigroup. His career combines corporate experience with a commitment to international engagement and community service.

Beyond his professional and consular responsibilities, Bemelmans has supported environmental education and volunteerism as co-chair of Citigroup’s Green Team network in Tampa and an event leader for volunteer activities benefiting Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful. He studied at Rutgers Business School and speaks English and Dutch at native or bilingual proficiency, with professional working proficiency in French, German, and Spanish.
