At MOFA, he continued to focus on international cooperation, with overseas postings in Zimbabwe and the Federated States of Micronesia. At the MOFA headquarters in Tokyo, he was engaged in Japan’s bilateral aid and ODA (Official Development Assistance) policies, as well as multilateral cooperation frameworks in the environmental sector.
Immediately prior to his assignment in Miami, he served as the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the Embassy of Japan in Sudan, where he was responsible for directing assistance to the war-torn country and promoting international cooperation.
