Laura Semenow is an international education administrator who serves as the Executive Director of the Risser Center for Global Education at Eckerd College. Originally from Brazil, Laura Semenow has dedicated her career to expanding study abroad participation, working on study abroad access for high-need students, and creating immersive, cross-cultural learning experiences for college students. She is an active member of several professional organizations such as The Forum on Education Abroad and NAFSA. Prior to her leadership role at Eckerd College, she spent 16 years at the University of Tulsa, where she served as the Director of the Center for Global Engagement and Director of Study Abroad.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais in Brazil and a Master of Education in higher education and student affairs from the University of Vermont.
