Human Dynamics and the Future of Global Security

Modern security challenges are shaped not only by military capabilities, but by human behavior, information, influence, culture, economics, and rapidly changing geopolitical conditions. This session explores how the University of South Florida’s Security Analysis and Innovation Lab (SAIL) is bringing together interdisciplinary research, advanced analytics, scenario modeling, and strategic foresight to better understand these complex environments.

Drawing on collaboration with academic, government, and national security partners, including CENTCOM and SOCOM, the discussion will examine how data-informed analysis of human dynamics can strengthen decision-making, anticipate emerging risks, and support more effective policy and operational responses. The session will also highlight the role universities can play in preparing the next generation of professionals to navigate increasingly interconnected global security challenges.
