Sali Osman is an award-winning technology, cyber risk, audit, and privacy executive with more
than 25 years of experience leading high-stakes security, AI governance, and ESG solutions
across the globe. Renowned for her ability to navigate digital disruption, Sali has guided Fortune

60 companies and prominent international institutions—including the IMF, Saudi Aramco,
Amazon, and GE—through volatile regulatory, macroeconomic, and technological landscapes. 
As an NACD Governance Board Fellow and public company advisor, Sali brings specialized
governance expertise to the boardroom. She is a leading expert on the direct impacts of
macroeconomic trends and global geopolitical instability on the U.S. economy.
Specifically, she advises corporate directors on how regional conflicts and critical maritime
shipping disruptions freeze U.S. enterprise technology stacks—threatening the rare earth supply chains, computing hardware, and sovereign wealth capital pipelines required for advanced AI and quantum computing roadmaps. 

A recognized Board of Directors’ trainer and speaker for prestigious global entities, including the World Bank-IFC, the PIF Center for Governance, and the GCC Board of Directors’ Institute, Sali uses advanced simulations to prepare leadership teams for these convergence risks. She
currently serves as a vital advisor to Oman utility companies, counseling leadership on
safeguarding regional mission-critical systems and building operational resilience during major public service and clean energy transformations. 

Sali’s executive track record is vast and diverse. As the Chief Information Security Officer
(CISO) and Advisor for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), she collaborated with regulatory bodies and central banks to govern cryptocurrency and digital payments. At GE, she served as Senior VP of Global Audits, training auditors and assessing a $7.3 billion MetLife M&A. In her early career, she led diplomatically sensitive, high-profile investigations and highly secured satellite communications—foundational work that cemented her deep mastery of mission-critical systems. Her corporate governance experience includes serving on the board of East Africa’s fastest-growing FMCG company, chairing the Audit Committee for 50/50 Women on Boards, and advising Amazon Alexa’s global language teams. 

A former cybersecurity startup CEO and author of AWS’s foundational guidance on M&A risks
and EU-GDPR, Sali has contributed directly to NIST standards and the NACD’s inaugural
cyber-risk oversight publication. Fluent in multiple languages and a frequent media
