Tampa Sister Cities is pleased to announce that Diana Walker has joined the Tampa International Diplomacy and Exchange Summit (TIDES) Operating Committee as Expo Lead.
Diana is a dynamic leader, servant-hearted advocate, and passionate supporter of entrepreneurship, small business growth, and community development. She currently serves as President of the Tampa Bay Latin Chamber of Commerce and as Special Projects Coordinator for Hillsborough County’s Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Programs, where she supports construction contract compliance, business certification guidance, and educational workshops that help small and minority-owned businesses successfully bid and subcontract with the County.
In her role with TIDES, Diana will help lead the summit’s Expo, supporting opportunities for businesses, organizations, exhibitors, entrepreneurs, international partners, and community institutions to connect, showcase their work, and build meaningful relationships.
Diana’s professional background includes key roles with Prospera, where she supported Hispanic entrepreneurs as Lead Business Consultant and Project Specialist, and with the Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council, where she helped expand MBE certification access and supplier connections with major corporations. A proud graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Business Management, she also holds credentials and certifications in contract compliance, grant writing, volunteer management, and project management.
Diana is deeply involved in the Tampa Bay community. She serves on the Board of Directors for Tampa Sister Cities, where she is Communications Chair, as well as on the boards of Leadership Hillsborough and the Hispanic Professional Women’s Foundation. She is also a past president of the Hispanic Professional Women’s Association and has been recognized with honors including the 2025 Lideres Award, the Woman of Promise Award from the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, and the City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council’s inaugural Estrella Award.

Diana is widely known for her collaborative spirit, integrity, and commitment to economic empowerment through education. Her work reflects a consistent belief that strong businesses build strong families and communities, and that access to knowledge, resources, and relationships can help entrepreneurs and organizations reach the next level.
TIDES is being developed by Tampa Sister Cities to bring together leaders in international trade, diplomacy, education, innovation, sustainability, culture, and exchange. As Expo Lead, Diana will work with the Operating Committee to help create an Expo experience that reflects Tampa’s diversity, supports economic opportunity, and strengthens the city’s role as a globally connected business and civic community.
