July 13, 2026 – Tampa, FL. Tampa Sister Cities is pleased to announce that Kristin Davis has joined the Tampa International Diplomacy and Exchange Summit (TIDES) Operating Committee as Education Track Co-Lead, with a focus on K-12 education.
Kristin serves as Assistant Superintendent of Government Affairs for Hillsborough County Public Schools, where she represents the district’s priorities at the local, state, and federal levels. Since joining the school district in 2004, she has held key roles in communications and government affairs, building more than two decades of experience in public education, advocacy, policy, and community engagement.
In her role with TIDES, Kristin will help guide the K-12 portion of the Education Track, supporting programming focused on global learning, international student engagement, school partnerships, civic education, workforce readiness, and opportunities that connect students and educators with the broader world.
Kristin’s work requires navigating complex legislative and policy environments while serving as a liaison between the school district, elected officials, government partners, and the community. Her experience will help ensure that the Education Track reflects the needs of students, educators, families, and institutions preparing the next generation for a globally connected future.

Kristin holds both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in political science from Florida State University. Her public service career began with internships in Washington, D.C., at C-SPAN and the U.S. House of Representatives, followed by work in advocacy and government relations with a prominent lobbying firm in Tallahassee.
TIDES is being developed by Tampa Sister Cities to bring together leaders in international trade, diplomacy, education, innovation, sustainability, culture, and exchange. As Education Track Co-Lead for K-12 Education, Kristin will work with the Operating Committee to help shape programming that highlights the role of education in building globally aware, civically engaged, and future-ready communities.
