July 16, 2026 – Tampa, FL – Tampa Sister Cities is pleased to announce that Ryan Kanne of the U.S. Commercial Service has joined the Tampa International Diplomacy and Exchange Summit (TIDES) Operating Committee as Track Lead – Trade.
Ryan is a seasoned international business leader with more than 25 years of experience
supporting U.S. exporters and facilitating foreign investment into the United States. He leads
the Greater Florida team for the U.S. Commercial Service team that covers 56 out of the 67
counties in FL.
TIDES is being developed by Tampa Sister Cities to bring together leaders in international
trade, diplomacy, education, innovation, sustainability, culture, and exchange.
In his role with TIDES as Track Lead – Trade, Ryan will work with the TIDES Operating
Committee to help shape the summit’s Trade Track, supporting programming focused on
international business, export opportunities, foreign direct investment, commercial diplomacy,
and Tampa’s growing role in the global marketplace.
Ryan’s background makes him especially well-suited for this role. Previously the long-time
Director for the U.S. Commercial Service in Minneapolis, he is known for his strategic
leadership, technology-driven innovation, and commitment to developing organizations and
people. He holds advanced degrees in leadership and international business, is an ICF-
certified coach, and remains active across Florida’s business and economic communities.
